Christopher Vu is an Orange County native who has devoted most of his entire life to athletics, performance training, and coaching. He claims that this field of interest came to him naturally at a young age as he always found himself to be far more interested in exercise and sports performance training than anyone else around him. Not surprisingly, Chris spends much of his time keeping up to date with the latest research on performance training so that he can continue to expand his knowledge and master his craft. His goal is to always provide athletes with the best quality training through research based performance and recovery methods.
Throughout his career, Chris has had a lot of experience working with a wide variety of high school, collegiate, and many professional athletes from numerous sports. Interestingly, Chris is currently the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for our USA Junior Beach National Volleyball Teams, which consists of the nation’s top high school and collegiate beach volleyball athletes. Moreover, Chris is also helping out with the official USA Beach National Volleyball Teams who are currently preparing for several international tournaments, the World Championships, and the upcoming Olympic Games.
As an experienced multi-sport athlete for many years, Chris has been able to develop a deep understanding of the proper biomechanical movements and performance needs of numerous athletes. Additionally, Chris played volleyball at the collegiate level where he received a State Championship Title with the Men’s Golden West College Volleyball Team. Thereafter, he continued his playing career at Long Beach State with the Men’s SCCVL Volleyball Team where he served as co-captain and helped lead his team to the semifinals of the National Championship Tournament in 2017. To this day, he still plays competitively and is very involved in the volleyball community as he works with volleyball athletes of all ages. Outside of his personal athletic accomplishments, Chris also coached volleyball and basketball at the high school level, leading them to 3 consecutive league championship titles and counting.
On his free time, Chris loves spending his days at the beach, playing volleyball, listening to music, trying new foods, and traveling.
